Cyclist unlikely to walk again after hit-and-run
Metropolitan Police have appealed for a hit-and-run driver to come forward and hand himself in after a cyclist was hit and left for dead in a road accident in Highbury. The cyclist will now be entitled to claim personal injury compensation.
The cyclist suffered head injuries, spinal injuries, and neck injuries. He is currently being treated at Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel. Doctors believe it is unlikely that he will ever walk again.
A spokesperson for The Claim Solicitors said, "It is beyond belief that a human being can just leave another to die by the roadside. This man will almost certainly be entitled to a substantial amount of personal injury compensation."
The motorist responsible for the hit-and-run car accident was believed to be driving a 4x4.
