Award against dentist for destroying smile

A 47-year-old woman from Wigan, Greater Manchester, has won a £13,500 injury compensation claim for medical negligence against a dentist from who she endured ten years of maltreatment.

The mother of three decided to make the injury compensation claim after seeing another dentist who alerted her to the medical negligence inflicted on her by her previous dentist.

After ten years of cosmetic treatment with her old dentist she was left with severe gum disease and just some unattractive blank stumps left in place of teeth.

The injury compensation claim for medical negligence was awarded in an out-of-court settlement. It is not known whether the woman used a no win no fee solicitor to achieve her injury compensation claim success or instead paid hefty legal fees to secure the payout.
