Solicitors help widow secure personal injury compensation
A widow who was awarded £355,000 in damages for her husband's asbestos-related disease has urged more people to come forward to claim personal injury compensation.
The 69-year-old woman contacted personal injury solicitors and made a workplace injury claim following her husband's death in 2004.
At the age of 71, her husband developed mesothelioma and now she believes more people suffering from the disease should make their voices heard.
She added, "I think it is essential that they should. It's hard work and you have to do your research, but they have paid a high price for a job and should be compensated."
Following her husband's death she contacted personal injury solicitors and made an asbestos compensation claim and was recently awarded £355,000 in damages.
She said, "It has been a very good result but I think the lawyers have worked extremely hard to get it."
Her compensation solicitors commented on the successful personal injury compensation claim and said, "The value of this settlement is a reflection of how active and healthy he was before mesothelioma struck him down."
