Teenager recovers in hospital from accident at work
An Australian teenager who had been cutting limestone blocks has severed both of his legs in a serious accident at work.
The 19-year-old was cutting limestone for a wall in Banbury, Perth, when the industrial accident happened on Tuesday at 6am.
He was rushed to hospital where surgeons were able to save one of his legs from amputation.
A hospital spokeswoman said that the man was brought into hospital with both his legs following the accident at work and surgeons managed to save his left leg.
She added, "He is out of theatre and is in a stable condition in the Royal Perth Hospital Intensive Care Unit.
The young man is recovering at hospital from his workplace injuries.
