Coach builder makes personal injury claim

A Bedfordshire man who suffered serious personal injuries in a work accident has launched a bid for damages.

The coach builder has made the personal injury compensation claim following an October 2004 incident that saw him severely damage his right leg.

He had been fitting a catalytic converter to a bus at his employer's premises in Harrow, Middlesex, when he and a colleague dropped a heavy piece of exhaust equipment. The exhaust weighed more than 70kg and struck him on the leg.

As a consequence of the work accident, the Sandy man still suffers pain and a lack of mobility and is hoping to undergo surgery in the near future.

His work accident claim accuses his employers of negligence and breach of duty and he is subsequently demanding £300,000 in personal injury compensation.
