Boy wins compensation claim

With the help of his personal injury solicitor a 17-year-old boy is poised to receive more than £8.5million in personal injury compensation.

The 17-year-old, described as 'a very promising and talented schoolboy' by the judge at London's High Court, was seriously injured in the car accident while riding his bike in September 2003.

The boy's personal injury solicitor made the personal injury claim against the Motor Insurers Bureau (MIB) after it emerged that the driver of the vehicle who hit him was uninsured. The driver was also high on crack cocaine at the time of the car accident.

The boy's personal injury solicitor added that the driver was travelling at least 20mph over the 30mph speed limit when the car accident took place.

The claimant's personal injury solicitor made the personal injury compensation claim for spinal injuries, head injuries and multiple orthopaedic injuries.

The boy is currently living in a specialist rehabilitative care centre but hopes to move to Brighton in the near future.
