Woman claims for head injury suffered on a boat
A woman has made a personal injury compensation claim following an accident on board a yacht.
The 58-year-old woman suffered head injuries after hitting her head on some railings while she was being taken back to Sea View Yacht Club on a RIB (rigid inflatable boat).
According to the woman, the driver of the boat she was travelling on got so close to another vessel that the Brackley-based woman hit her head on a railing.
The blow knocked her briefly unconscious and resulted in a traumatic brain injury with severe pain, headaches and nausea.
Following her initial symptoms, she then developed a major depressive disorder and has taken medication since the accident in July, 2006.
She is now making a compensation claim against the boat driver for the personal injury she suffered.
