Personal injury compensation colleagues enter Hall of Fame

Two personal injury compensation solicitors from Manchester have been inducted into The Lawyer magazine's Hall of Fame. This recognises twenty significant law professionals from the past twenty years.

Roger Pannone, described in the magazine as "the Godfather of modern personal injury lawyers", moved from London to Manchester in 1973. His eponymous law firm has become a powerful presence in the UK, he has held the position of President of the Law Society, and he worked on several high profile cases, including the Piper Alpha disaster.

Geraldine McCool, a former colleague, has gone on to establish her own firm, McCool Patterson Hemsi, where she specialises in injury claims for air crash victims and members of the armed forces. In 2007, her firm was listed as "niche law firm of the year".

McCool said: "It's a great honour. The list is filled with household names whom I have looked up to."

The list contains professionals from all aspects of the law, not just personal injury compensation lawyers.
