Injury compensation news

Solicitors could help parents make no win no fee claims

The parents of two schoolboys that fell through a bus widow may consider making no win no fee claims for personal injury compensation if investigators discover that the bus had a fault.

The pupils from Gleed Boys School were travelling on a Brylaine Travel bus through Spalding on 12th February when they fell out of the window as the vehicle turned into St Thomas Road.

The two boys, aged 13, escaped from sustaining severe personal injuries in the road accident but were treated in hospital for minor head and back injuries.

PC Martin Green of Lincolnshire Police said that an investigation was being carried out into the near fatal accident to establish if the boys had been fooling around of if there was a problem with the windows.

He said, "This could have easily been a double fatal despite the fact that the bus was travelling so slowly and the youths landed on the footpath, rather than in the path of oncoming traffic."

Headteacher Geoff Cowley commented on the motor accident and said, "They were battered and bruised but were released from hospital later that evening.

"This is my first experience of an accident like this and Lincolnshire County Council ensures that all buses fulfil health and safety requirements."

If the bus is discovered to be faulty, parents may later decide to instruct the help of personal injury solicitors to make no win no fee claims for their children's passenger injuries.
