Blackpool locals tired of breathing in sewage

Residents in an area of Blackpool that has long been afflicted by wafting stenches from a nearby sewage works are debating whether they should enlist the services of no win no fee lawyers to claim compensation for their smelly predicament.

A local action group has been formed for this purpose. However, the local council believe that rather than single no win no fee claims benefiting individual residents, the best option is for the community to receive a lump sum payout that would benefit them as a collective.

Fortunately, the pestilence-ridden locals will be able to decide for themselves, as they are going to take the issue to a vote. The chairman of the local action group who will decide commented, "The public can decide, because it is they who have had to put up with the smell. We don't want politics entering into this."

The lobbyists anticipate that the no win no fee compensation claims will net substantial sums, "We are not talking small compensation, we are talking large numbers and we are going to be able to do something in the town."
