New Addington car crash is mysterious
A woman thought to be in her 50s suffered personal injury in a car crash in New Addington, Croydon.
Police are calling for witnesses to the road traffic accident to give them more information which may help them understand the events leading up to the incident.
It is believed that the victim was involved in a collision, which subsequently trapped her underneath her vehicle, but there is speculation as to whether the victim somehow ran herself over with her own car.
Paramedics, police and fire crews arrived at the scene to free the woman.
Reportedly she suffered serious injuries and after being freed from her vehicle by the fire crew, she was treated on the scene before being airlifted to hospital to receive further medical attention.
Currently she is still considered to be in a critical condition and is under observation.
If police investigations discover that the car crash victim's injuries were the result of another motorist's dangerous driving, then the woman or her family could pursue legal action by making a compensation claim on her behalf.
