Residents fear car accident compensation claims

Residents in Islington believe that an unused bus lane could cause a number of car accident compensation claims.

The bus lane was created in 2005 but has reportedly only been used six times. Residents believe the lane, which causes traffic to travel through a narrower lane, could cause a serious road accident.

One local thinks it is lucky that nobody has been seriously injured in a car crash and said, "Since they put it in there have been loads of accidents."

Another London resident added, "Cars going too fast down the road end up turned on their side at least once a month. The road on either side of the bus lane is so narrow that lorries are always getting struck in it too. I'm a learner driver at the moment and I find it daunting."

It is unknown if any motorists have contacted personal injury solicitors and made car accident compensation claims.
