Car accident compensation claim made by female driver
A woman who travelled to America for treatment following a serious road traffic accident has made a £400,000 car accident compensation claim.
The woman took her claim to London's Civil Court stating that a car crash that happened on the M4 in June 1999 left her suffering from serious spinal injuries.
She contacted personal injury solicitors and made a claim against the other motorist who was driving the Jeep pick-up truck that struck her vehicle.
The compensation claim also states that part of the damages would pay for future treatment of nerve-block injections, which are currently only available in Florida.
However, in court her claim was contested by a defence barrister who believes that the woman only suffered mild whiplash in the car accident, from which she has made a full recovery.
He added, "Thereafter she manifested a large number of symptoms. There is no reliable medical evidence that any of these are related to the accident."
The car accident compensation claim for personal injuries continues.
