Injured motorcyclist says thanks to personal injury solicitor

A motorcyclist has been awarded £287,000 compensation after suffering serious personal injuries in a road accident five years ago.

Ian Rossall, 45, of Abby Village, Chorley, contacted a personal injury solicitor following the motorcycle accident on the A674 Blackburn Road in 2001.

He was rushed to Royal Preston Hospital by North West Air Ambulance after a vehicle pulled out in front of his motorcycle.

Mr Rossall spent the next three months confined to a hospital bed and received treatment for a spinal cord injury and injuries to his leg and pelvis.

Unable to work and suffering from severe depression, Mr Rossall contacted a personal injury solicitor for accident compensation.

His solicitor, John Crompton, said, "His injuries were complex, and throughout the case, we were able to arrange private medical treatment and access to medical reports."

Mr Rossall thanked the quick response of emergency services and the thorough work his personal injury solicitor carried out in order for him to receive the £287,000.

He said, "Without the air ambulance I wouldn't be here. And John has been fantastic.

"I'm still breathing - a lot of my friends aren't."
