Biker needs more than a Band-Aid after Geldof hit

A motorcyclist involved in a motorbike accident with Bob Geldof in 2007 is now suing the singer for £300,000 for the personal injury he sustained in the crash.

The 42-year-old motorcyclist shattered his right leg in two places and splintered his knee joint when his motorcycle collided with the singer's silver Lexus after it suddenly performed a U-turn.

The father-of-one was driving his £4,000 Honda motorbike at 25mph along the King's Road in South-West London when the musician suddenly did a U-turn in front o fhim.

"I hit the brakes but there was no way I could stop" claimed the motorcyclist.

The injured biker didn't initially realise who the driver was until police handed him the contact details for insurance purposes.

Depending on the decision made when the case comes to court, the motorcyclist could receive an even higher amount for his injuries sustained in the motorbike accident.
