Personal injury solicitors help with teenager's birth injury claim

A teenager who was left brain damaged after being starved of oxygen at birth has been awarded £6.6 million in injury compensation.

The teenager's mother contacted personal injury solicitors after her son was starved of oxygen during his delivery at an Oxford hospital.

She claimed that medical negligence at the hospital caused her 15-year-old son to suffer cerebral palsy and so made a claim against the Thames Valley Strategic Health Authority.

His mother said, "This has been a long battle but we always knew that something had gone wrong and that it was the doctor's fault.

"We have had to fight all the way for 15 years to prove it and to get the compensation that will make sure he is secure for the rest of his life."

With the help of personal injury solicitors, the teenager was awarded £6.6 million in damages for his birth injuries.
