Mercedes safety avoids neck injury compensation
Mercedes has won What Car magazine's safety award for the second year in a row, in part for its various restraints and airbags to reduce the likelihood of having to make a neck injury compensation claim.
Mercedes' commitment to safety is long-standing, with a history of being the first to install such personal injury prevention devices as crumple zones, diagonal seatbelts and airbags for both driver and passenger seats. Its history in EuroNCAP safety tests is also excellent.
Some models come with a function that positions seats in the best position to lessen the effects of an accident, and brake lights that flash when braking sharply, reducing the chances of a shunt that could lead to a whiplash injury.
What Car makes special mention of the fact that the equipment to prevent neck injury compensation claims needing to be made is available across the range of the C-class, not just in the most expensive models.
