Trader could make no win, no fee claim for crash
A market trader suffered personal injuries after a street sweeping machine crashed into his flower stall.
Alan Carr, 40, of Baker Street, Enfield, may decide to make a no win, no fee compensation claim after he suffered minor back and head injuries after being hit by a road sweeping machine.
Mr Carr, who runs the Angelic Flower stall on Islington High Street, escaped sustaining severe injuries in the crash but was taken to hospital by a friend as a precaution.
The market trader said, "That morning, everything had been cleaned. I was having a cup of tea when the cleaning truck shot off the steps. I saw it coming towards me. I was frozen.
"There was this crash and the machine moved the stall back at least 4ft.
"Behind me there was a bookcase and crystal light fittings. Everything fell on my back. The roof came down and I bumped my head.
"The truck was wedged into the stall and I could just about get out."
In the future, Mr Carr may consider contacting a personal injury solicitor to make a no win, no fee claim for injury compensation.
