Injury claim news
Accident at work compensation claim made against BBC
A former freelance sound recordist who was left paralysed after a wind turbine fell on him has made an accident at work compensation claim against the BBC worth almost £1.5 million.
Adam Jones, 45, contacted a personal injury solicitor and made an accident claim for the injuries he sustained whilst working in Pembrokeshire in 2001.
He was working on a documentary being filmed at the Brithdir Mawr farm when a wind turbine fell on top of him and caused him severe personal injuries.
The work injury claim has been made against the farm owners and cameramen Jon Rees and Bobby Bazalgette from the BBC.
Mr Jones claims that BBC staff did not warn him about the dangers of the wind turbines and hadn't explained that he should stay clear of them.
He said, "I did not perceive any danger in this situation."
The case for accident at work compensation claim is still proceeding.
