Man awarded £85,000 following failed accident claim
A man who took legal action against his personal injury solicitor after losing an accident claim has been awarded £85,000.
Brian Durban decided to consult a solicitor after suffering a severe shoulder injury in an accident at work.
The data storage librarian suffered a serious personal injury whilst lifting heavy boxes filled with computer data tapes and lodged a claim against his employer for negligence.
Unfortunately, Mr Durban's injury compensation claim was not successful and he failed to win any amount of money.
He then made a claim against his personal injury solicitor for professional negligence, claiming he failed to serve his writ within a certain time frame given by the court.
Following his unsuccessful accident claim, Mr Durban was awarded £85,000.
