Majorettes injured in bus crash
A group of north-western majorettes were affected by whiplash in a road traffic accident on their route home this weekend.
The Blackburn baton-twirlers were on a bus returning from a competition, which struck a low bridge near Stoke on the Sunday. Police described it as a low-impact bus crash, which kept passenger injury to a minimum; of the 50-strong squad, only two suffered accident injury, and the bus was able to reverse out.
One passenger described the bus accident, saying "There was a really big bang and the bus shuddered. One of the girls has gone to hospital with glass in her eye and another with whiplash. The rest were all very shaken."
No statement has been made regarding personal injury claims.
