HSE to investigate crush in work accident
A Lincolnshire man has suffered serious personal injury in an accident in Gedney, near Spalding, when a digger rolled over him.
The construction vehicle rolled backwards unexpectedly, hitting the man as he worked in a car wash. His condition is described as critical but stable, after having been taken to a Kings Lynn hospital.
Peterborough Today reports that the matter is being treated as an industrial accident by the police. The Health and Safety Executive has therefore been notified about the workplace accident, and an investigation is ongoing. A local councillor also happened to be driving by the site as the incident occurred
