Fall leads to site investigation
Workers have been banned from operating above ground-floor level on a London building site after a labourer suffered serious personal injuries in a fall.
The construction accident saw a man tumble from the second storey of a school being built in Walthamstow and end up in intensive care as a result.
The Health and Safety Executive is now investigating the incident and have issued a prohibition notice banning all work at height from taking place. This ban will be in place until the investigation is complete and the authorities deem the building site once again safe for aerial work to continue.
The man involved in the construction accident is now reported to be recovering from his work injuries and it is not yet known if he is planning to make a personal injury compensation claim against the firm responsible for the building of the school.
