Football star to sue ex-club for ‘spying'
Ex Italy striker Christian Vieri, is planning to use the services of a compensation solicitor to sue his former club Inter Milan.
The compensation solicitor will look into allegations that the club used a firm of private detectives to spy on Vieri when he was an Inter player.
The player's personal injury solicitor said that Vieri was hoping to obtain a €9 million compensation claim for, "moral, existential, image and patrimonial damages."
He added that the striker would also be seeking a further compensation claim of €12 million from Telecom Italia in relation to allegations that its employees were complicit in passing details of his phone calls to private investigators.
Vieri, now with Serie A side Atalanta, played 144 games, scoring 103 goals, while with Inter.
His compensation solicitor said that the first hearing into the compensation claim is due to take place in early May.
