Female lawyer contacts personal injury solicitors

A lawyer who suffered paranoia and depression after being prescribed eight times her usual dose of steroids has been awarded £1.43 million in injury compensation.

The 44-year-old woman contacted personal injury solicitors and made a claim against Lloyds after she was given an incorrect prescription of steroids for a minor ailment.

Her medical negligence claim stated that following the prescription she suffered paranoia, depression and psychotic episodes, which had an adverse affect on her standard of living.

In court, the judge said that things "changed dramatically for her in 2001 after she had been misprescribed some medication for a minor ailment".

With the help of her personal injury solicitor, the female lawyer, who was used to earning £287,000 a year, was awarded £1.43 million in accident compensation.
