Car accident victims sue their mother for negligence
A father-of-three from Wiltshire is claiming over £300,000 in car accident compensation for his children after they were injured in a Spanish car crash.
The children are effectively suing their mother, as court papers were lodged in their names, accusing her of negligence.
The children, and their mother from Bath, were involved in a head-on collision in Spain in August 2005.
The youngest child needed emergency surgery for internal injuries and is now permanently disabled requiring the use of a wheelchair. His sister and brother both suffered whiplash and soft tissue injuries, and have been left with lasting problems.
The mother-of-three's Spanish insurance firm have admitted liability for the accident on her behalf, but the level of car accident compensation has yet to be decided.
