From crashing to dashing

Car crash compensation rarely comes in a form as glamorous as a brand new car and a handwritten note from Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney. Yet for one lucky Italian woman that is precisely what happened when she was involved in a rear-end collision with the Academy Award winning actor.

Clooney, the United Nations special ambassador, accepted full responsibility for the colliding with the back end of the Italian's vehicle and offered the car crash compensation as a surprise gesture.

It is understood that neither Clooney nor the woman suffered any form of injury, so it is unlikely that any personal injury solicitors will be contacted regarding the incident.

In addition to the car crash compensation gesture - a new car worth £15,000 - the Fantastic Mr Fox star also left the woman a note. It said, "I'm so sorry. Hope you'll forgive me. George Clooney."
