Victim of M25 milk tanker accident could make car crash claim

A man may be entitled to make a car crash claim after he suffered severe personal injury in an accident on the M25.

The victim, who is reported to be in his twenties, sustained a serious head injury and other bodily harm when he was in a collision with a milk tanker approaching junction nine towards Leatherhead.

Emergency services were called and fire fighters had to cut away the vehicle's doors and roof before the casualty could be removed from his car and taken to St George's Hospital.

He was described as being in a critical condition and was made a priority upon arrival for medical treatment.

No report has been made on the state of the milk tanker driver but if police investigations determine that he or she was liable for the road traffic accident the victim, or his family, could decide to make a car crash claim to receive compensation.

One lane of the motorway remained closed for some time as police investigations, the cleaning of debris, and the removal of the vehicles took place.
