Driving test car accident man delighted by flawless pass
A young Buckinghamshire driver found himself involved in a car accident at just the worst possible moment - as he began his driving test. Incredibly, he went on to pass flawlessly.
The car crash occurred part-way through the man's driving test. He says, "The instructor got out the car and told me to stay calm. I was quite jittery, especially as it was my test. I thought 'that's a hundred quid gone'."
However, the two drivers exchanged insurance information, and as there appeared to be no whiplash or other personal injury suffered, the young man was allowed to continue his test. He was delighted to discover, at the end of the experience, that he had not even received one minor fault.
The man said that he had wanted to get his licence in his father's memory, who had been keen to see his son pass the test but had died of a heart attack earlier. The new driver felt that his calmness following the car accident may have had something to with his father, saying, "I think he was with me on my test."
