Car accident compensation possible for elderly Cumbria driver
An elderly driver may choose to make a car accident compensation claim after a crash in Cumbria.
The incident occurred in Carlisle on the A596 and involved only one other vehicle.
The elderly man's car was involved in a collision with another vehicle, leaving him with a chest and back injury.
Initially fire-fighters were called to the scene but the crew did not have to cut anyone from their vehicle.
The casualty was airlifted by the Great North Air Ambulance to hospital for medical treatment.
The man's 93-year-old passenger and the other vehicle driver only suffered minor personal injury.
Although the other motorist involved only suffered minor personal injury in the road traffic accident, if the elderly road user is found liable for the collision the man may decide to pursue legal action.
However, if after police investigation it is found that the other driver was responsible for the incident, then the more seriously injured motorist may choose to make a claim for his pain and suffering in the form of car accident compensation.
