US serviceman wins RTA claim

No win, no fee solicitors in Norfolk have helped an American serviceman secure six-figure car accident compensation for a 2006 incident which left him with serious multiple injuries.

The man, now 28-years-old, had been behind the wheel of his jeep when he suffered a collision with a Volkswagen Caravelle.

Despite receiving swift treatment for his injuries at a West Suffolk hospital, the former avionics worker still has ongoing problems with his leg; it has been classified as a permanent injury. His other injuries, including ones to his elbow, abdomen and pelvis have healed quite well.

The no win, no fee solicitor who represented the former staff sergeant's car accident compensation claim commented, "While a small proportion of his claim related to the injury itself, and a further portion to his medical treatment, the bulk of his settlement is in respect of lost earnings, the loss of his airforce pension and other benefits associated with being in the US military.

"It is hoped that further treatment being recommended by his orthopaedic surgeon will soon be carried out in the US, brightening his future prospects."

In total, including sums for injury, medical expenses and lost earnings, the man received nearly £500,000 in car accident compensation.
