Photographer may make personal injury claim
A photographer who suffered personal injury when he was struck by a vehicle driven by Strictly Come Dancing star Ricky Whittle may seek to secure car accident compensation.
Commenting on the prospective car accident compensation claim, the personal injury lawyer representing the photographer said, "At this point in time we are making enquiries into the incident.
"[My client] maintains that he was going about the normal course of his business as a freelance photographer when he was struck by a vehicle being driven by Mr Whittle.
In addition, he outlined some possible arguments that might give rise to a damages payout, "If the evidence suggests that Mr Whittle drove negligently into [my client], then [my client] may well have a case for claiming compensation for his injuries and any loss of earnings," he said.
A Strictly Come Dancing "source" told The Sun that the potential car accident compensation case could detract from the dancer's chances of winning the show.
"Ricky was seen as one of the favourites to win the show before the incident occurred and then suddenly he was in the bottom two," the source said.
Adding, "Now this week, despite impressing the judges he was again voted into the bottom two. We are convinced it is because of what happened. Strictly viewers are a bit older and more conservative in their views and don't take lightly to what happened."
