Compensation for personal injuries and stolen car claim
A US couple may have to claim for more than just car accident compensation after a road traffic accident in Ohio, as, while they were in hospital recovering from their personal injuries, their own car was stolen on the very same day.
The man and his wife were hit by a car as they crossed the road in Sandusky and were taken for treatment to nearby hospitals.
The man suffered knee injuries and his wife received several bruises.
As they were being cared for, the couple's son went to their home, only to find that the family car was missing.
The car was later stopped in Cleveland and two teenagers were charged with receiving stolen property.
It is not clear whether the couple will have to claim on their car insurance for any damage to the vehicle or whether they will seek the advice of a personal injury solicitor with a view to claiming car accident compensation.
