Brighton car accident claim for pedestrian possible

A 21-year old man, suspected to have been the motorist in a hit-and-run crash in Brighton, has been released on bail by the police but there is a possibility that if he is found liable a car accident claim will be made against him.

He was arrested for dangerous driving after an accident involving a 36-year-old male pedestrian in Widdicombe Way. The victim was left in a serious condition after the road user's vehicle collided with him and threw him into a wall.

The young motorist drove away from the incident but later surrendered himself at a police station.

Police closed off the scene of the road traffic accident for investigations and the car underwent a forensic examination.

The pedestrian's personal injuries are now being described as serious but non life-threatening and he remains at hospital for treatment.

If the young driver is found responsible for the casualty's injuries, then the victim may choose to make a car accident claim against him for pain, suffering and loss of earnings.
