Women passengers to claim personal injury compensation
Two female passengers from East Renfrewshire, Scotland are making bus accident claims after suffering broken bones in an incident this month.
One of the women suffered a broken collarbone and the other, a 60-year-old, broke one of her ribs.
It is likely that the personal injury solicitors involved in the case will be interested in obtaining the police report made in the aftermath of the incident. It is understood that both of the claimants were thrown forward as a result of the driver braking suddenly to avoid a passing car. Neither the bus driver nor the car driver has been charged for any offence relating to the accident.
The 60-year-old who is making the bus accident claim commented, "It was really frightening.
"We had been travelling at some speed when he slammed on the brakes and we all went flying.
"I cracked my rib against one of the rails and ended up on the ground.
"The other woman was thrown against the ticket machine with tremendous force and was in agony."
A spokesperson for the bus company involved said that as yet it knows nothing of either woman's bid for personal injury compensation. "We have yet to receive any correspondence in relation to a claim for this incident," she said.
