Compensation for fall down hatch
A trendy restaurant in Notting Hill, London has been ordered to pay £15,642 in personal injury compensation to a boy who fell down an opened delivery cellar and cracked his head open.
The restaurant, which is a popular haunt with celebrities, accepted liability for the personal injury compensation claim, admitting they had breached health and safety laws.
The five-year-old boy's parents made the personal injury compensation claim after he had to be taken to hospital with a 3cm cut to the head. While there he received a CT scan, which proved clear, and he was released the next day.
The personal injury compensation comprises of three payments. The bulk of the personal injury compensation will go to the boy, while a fraction will be paid to his parents. A further sum will go to the council as repayment for costs they incurred in the process of the personal injury compensation claim.
