Amicable end to terrible accident
A Sheffield factory worker who made a no win, no fee claim following an accident at work has been awarded 100% compensation in an out-of-court settlement.
It is understood that the 24-year-old Leeds-born man received the full £11,700 he had been seeking as personal injury compensation for losing two of his fingers as a result of a piece of malfunctioning woodcutting machinery.
No deductions were made from the payout as he was represented by a no win, no fee solicitor who allows her clients to keep 100% compensation.
The path for the 100% compensation award was cleared when the factory's insurers advised the owners to accept liability.
This move allowed the 24-year-old's no win, no fee solicitor to claim direct to the insurers, without making recourse to the courts.
