Factory workers could make accident at work claim
Factory workers who were electrocuted in a freak accident may consider making accident at work claims for their personal injuries.
A 30-year-old man was using a vending machine at DHL in Frobisher Way,
Hatfield, when he received an electric shock that threw him against a metal
support.
An ambulance was called to the scene of the factory accident and the man was
taken to Queen Elizabeth ll Hospital in Welwyn Garden City.
His condition has been described as "critical".
Another man at the factory was also injured in an accident at work when he
received an electric shock from a metal conveyor belt.
He sustained a minor head injury and was released on the same day from
hospital.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said, "It's very bizarre that two
incidents should happen at roughly the same time on the same night.
"It has been passed to the Health and Safety Executive for further investigation."
In the future, either the two men or their families may consider making an accident at work claim for the electric shocks they received at the factory.
