Accident at work caused fatal head injury

An investigation has been launched into the death of a man who was killed at a construction site after suffering a serious personal injury.

Peter Prunic, 53, had been working on a site run by the construction company Clancydocwra in Aylesbury when the accident at work happened on July 25.

Mr Prunic, from Mullway in Letchworth, was on site when a telehandler construction vehicle knocked him down and caused a fatal head injury.

Police arrived quickly to the scene of the work accident and reported it to the Health and Saftey Executive, who have now launched an investigation into the accident at work.

Mr Prunic was a popular member of the community and local residents are said be shocked and saddened by his sudden death.

The HSE wrote a statement which warned of the dangers faced by people working on construction sites and said, "This tragic accident should alert all construction contractors to the inherent hazards involved in using mobile plant."
