Whiplash injury compensation – how to make a claim
Whiplash injury is most commonly caused by a car accident and can result in minor symptoms such as headaches to more debilitating and long-term neck problems.

- Step 1

- Step 2
One of our claim collators will compile all the information required for your claim (e.g. medical reports, witness statements etc). Our claim collator will also inform the other person’s car insurance company that you intend to pursue a whiplash injury compensation claim against them for damages caused by their client’s negligence.
- Step 3
We will arrange for you to see an independent medical expert (approximately 3 months following the accident). We will ask them to provide a medical report regarding the extent of your injuries, your recovery and any on-going or long-term symptoms you may have.
This report will provide independent evidence to support your claim and to help our solicitor put a realistic figure on your personal injury compensation.
- Step 4
A ‘schedule of losses’ will be compiled outlining the details of all the financial losses that are being claimed. These may include pain and suffering, loss of earnings and the cost of medication and any treatment received. This will be sent to the other person’s car insurance company, with a request for the compensation claim to be settled for a specified amount.
- Step 5
over the vast majority of whiplash injury compensation claims are settled out of Court within a short period of time. You will receive a cheque for your compensation and arrangements will be made for you to receive treatment on your whiplash (if necessary).
