Personal injury news - Bus crash victims could make personal injury claim
Passengers of a bus that crashed into a lamppost could possibly make a personal injury claim for their injuries sustained in the road accident.
More than 20 people were injured onboard the 229 bus as it travelled through Barnehurst towards Erith, South London, on the 4th September.
While many of the passengers were treated by ambulance crews at the scene of the crash, several people were taken to Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup with serious personal injuries.
Hayley Maher, 20, witnessed the accident and said, "It looked like something had run out in front of the bus, or the driver had lost control.
"The bus looked like a write-off, and the lamppost was pulverised. Part of the right-hand side of the bus was completely missing."
Erith road was partially closed following the crash while investigators gathered evidence into the cause of the road accident.
In the future, passengers involved in the crash may want to make a personal injury claim for their injuries sustained in the accident.
