Woman hurt on bucking bronco consults
personal injury solicitors
A mother who suffered neck injuries on a mechanical bucking bronco in a Scottish bar has consulted personal injury solicitors with a view to making an accident claim.
Caroline McPhee was enjoying a night out with friends in Buffalo Joe's nightclub in Glasgow in December 2005 when she decided to take a turn on the ride. She claims she had only consumed three or four drinks and was thrown off the revolving mechanical horse on two occasions.
It was not until the next morning that the 37-year-old realised she had hurt her neck, and consulting the doctor, she was signed off work for several weeks, ordered to wear a neck brace and advised to have physiotherapy.
The support worker took drugs to reduce the swelling and numb the pain, and admits that she still feel pains when working.
Discussing her proposed compensation claim, Ms McPhee said, "I'm going ahead with this. It's taken a bit of time, what with legal aid and the like, but I feel someone has got to bear some responsibility.
"I was left in agony and no-one seemed to be bothered much. They can settle out of court but I won't let this lie."
Expert personal injury solicitors have estimated that Ms McPhee could receive between £5000 and £6000 if her accident claim is successful.
