Technician contacted personal injury solicitors to make accident claim
A technician injured on the Phantom of the Opera set has been awarded compensation after contacting personal injury solicitors.
Kevin Butler made an accident claim after he fell 25ft from the top of a scaffolding tower in October 2003.
Mr Butler was working at the top of the tower when a colleague began to climb it without realising it hadn't been secured properly.
The technician suffered serious personal injuries in the scaffolding accident when the structure toppled over and was taken to hospital with a leg and head injury.
Mr Butler, a member of the film and theatre union BECTU, contacted personal injury solicitors and was awarded compensation for the accident at work.
