Personal injury news
Major works have begun on Telford's busiest roundabout
Work has begun on one of Telford's busiest roundabouts in a bid to cut serious personal injuries caused by road accidents.
The scheme, which has been put forward by the Borough of Telford & Wrekin, will
be carried out on the Ketley Brook roundabout, which has seen 15 vehicle accidents in the last five years. Highway experts believe that without the traffic lights, more
accidents will occur resulting in car accident compensation claims rising.
The new developments will include traffic signals, improved accessibility for
pedestrians and improved bus routes. Works are expected to last around eight
weeks and have been paid for by Local Transport Plan capital works programme.
Some local residents have criticised number of the traffic lights, which are planned
to cut down the number of car accident compensation claims and ease
congestion.
