Ex-miner £20,000 richer with Vibration White Finger compensation
An ex-miner who killed six people in a road accident could be considered for parole in January 2007.
Peter Noble could be leaving prison early with a substantial amount of money after being awarded £20,000 in Vibration White Finger compensation.
He developed the condition whilst working as a miner and is amongst many who would have been awarded personal injury compensation after years of working with vibrating tools such as drills and chain saws.
In 2002, Noble was jailed for 15 years after crashing a friend's car, killing three of his passengers and three people in another vehicle.
It was later discovered that Noble had also been drinking before the road accident and consumed 13 pints of lager and two alcopops.
The family of the causalities killed in the car accident have found it difficult to accept that Noble could be releases early, especially with £20,000 Vibration White Finger compensation.
Chary Allen, whose brother Dennis Royston was killed in the car crash, said, "As it stands he is £20,000 richer and could be out in prison at the start of next year. It's hard to express how that feels."
