Miracle man survives after car accident trauma
A man from Derbyshire has been hailed as a walking miracle after surviving a horrific car accident that left him in a coma for weeks.
27-year-old Andrew Wall was involved in a late-night collision with a taxi and was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries. Doctors feared he would not survive for more than 24 hours, and insisted that if he did he would be left with irreparable brain damage.
Mr Wall's mother told the press, "We were told under no circumstances would he survive his injuries.
"They told us that he had no chance of survival whatsoever and we had already spoken with the transplant co-ordinators about donating his organs."
But a nurse wiping his face noticed his eyes flickering and he was rushed to a specialist hospital for fresh attempts to keep him alive. A blood clot was removed from his brain but surgeons still weren't positive about his future.
His mother said, "After about two weeks we were told that if he came out of his coma he wouldn't walk, talk or recognise anyone and he would be paralysed on his right hand side.
"We were told that only a miracle could save him- this shows that miracles do happen."
Andrew Wall has now completely recovered from his personal injuries and doctors have said they don't think there will be any further complications resulting from the car accident.
