Woman driver killed in car accident just off M4

A woman driver was killed in a car accident on the M4 at around 8.30am on 1st June.

The woman, who was in her 60s, was driving a Peugeot 306 when it veered off the M4 between junctions 12 and 13, crashing headlong into a ditch.

She died at the scene of the car crash but a female passenger was rushed to Royal Berkshire Hospital after sustaining serious personal injuries.

Following the vehicle accident, one lane of the motorway was closed to allow emergency services to get to the scene.
