Personal injury news
Arnie back to work after motorcycle accident
Governer of California and former action movie star, Arnold Schwarzenegger, has returned to work after the motorcycle accident which left him needing 15 stitches in a
cut lip.
Sporting a swollen lip and a slightly bruised face, the star of blockbuster films such as Terminator and
Commando attended a news conference to talk about the medical crisis which is currently engulfing California .
Doctors had advised him not to speak for at least three days, but Schwarzenegger refused to cancel the
conference in Los Angeles, even though the personal injuries from his motorcycle accident were plain for all to see.
The incident happened after the Austrian-born actor crashed his Harley Davidson into a car that had reversed
into the road in front of him. His son, 12-year-old Patrick, was travelling in the bike’s sidecar but walked
away from motorcycle accident unscathed.
The Governer was not travelling over the speed limit, and he has since revealed his annoyance with the driver of
the car, saying, “The woman that drove out stopped, looked to the left, saw me, looked me right in the eye and
looked to the right- and then drove out anyway.”
In the days since the motorcycle accident, reports have
circulated that police are investigating allegations that Schwarzenegger does not have a correct bike endorsement on
his driving licence, and so was riding illegally when the accident happened. As yet, these claims are
unsubstantiated.
